Bio

I have been playing the piano as long as I can remember. Growing up in East Texas, I began lessons in classical piano around the age of 5 or 6. I was so tiny then that I could not lift the bat to play baseball with my friends, but I could sit on a cushion and play that piano! Somewhere along the way, the fun and discipline of playing and studying was overtaken by the passion of actually making the music at the keyboard.

From the beginning, I have always enjoyed writing little songs of my own. In 2003, after much encouragement from friends and requests from listeners, and with the help of my friend, LaDonna Goetz, I recorded my first CD of original keyboard music, “Soaring.” Wow! What a thrill to actually capture that music on a CD! The feed back on this project was fabulous. And I had so much fun that the following year, 2004, I recorded my second CD, “Earth.” It feels so good to hear from those of you who have found ways to enjoy this music. The third CD, "Angels Rest" was completed late in 2008 and I continue to be blessed to know that people are moved by this music.

It is my greatest desire to bring forth music that will relax, soothe, and uplift the listener. If you resonate with this music, let me know. I always appreciate your comments. I am currently serving as the music director at Unity of Arlington and enjoying the opportunity to write, perform, and share music. Be sure to stop and say hello if you come to a service.

Blessings,
Dian
